“Buffalo Plaid” is a term given to a plaid pattern that consists of large checks and squares, without the thin lines and overlapping that is typical of regular plaid. For a lot of people, the first thing that comes to mind when they hear “buffalo plaid” is a lumberjack, or more specifically, Paul Bunyan. While historically, buffalo plaid was most common on burly male loggers, the trend has over time spread to women's clothing. Today, buffalo plaid womenswear is very common in anything from cardigans to loungewear to handbags and more! Whatever your go-to style is, there is a buffalo plaid option for everyone!
